Iver Lofving
Painter

I am an artist and a teacher, having painted and done art since childhood. In fact, I started doing murals as a youth and continue to create them to this day.

I served in the US Peace Corps in Guatemala and was a Peace Corps representative at the University of Maine where I got my Master's Degree in Education. I did my student teaching with the Penobscot Nation.
I taught for over 30 years in both private and public schools. Nowadays, I’m retired, but very busy! I love teaching, sailing, and watercolor painting in the summer on Swan's Island where my wife and I run an antique shop and I have an art studio. I enjoy cross country skiing in the winter in the Skowhegan area.
My life is my art and I love plein air painting with the gang!
