Wood Fired Ceramics Artistry:
Meet Tim Cichocki
In 2006 Tim and John Cichocki built a 180 cubic-foot cross-draft wood-fired kiln— the only one of its kind in the entire state of Maine. Tim's pottery is the result of wood firing pieces to develop a natural glaze at extremely high temperatures over several days, with each piece absorbing salts and minerals from the wood. The flames create unique patterns around them, making every piece one-of-a-kind depending on its spot in the kiln.
